Overview
The Commission de Protection des Données Personnelles (CDP) is an Independent Administrative Authority (AAI ) established by law no. 2008-12 of 25 January 2008 on the protection of personal data.
It is made up of eleven (11) members chosen for their legal and/or technical expertise.

- Mr Théodore Cherif MONTEIL (National Assembly)

- Mr Moustapha BA (Supreme Court)
- Maître Léon Patrice SARR (Bar Association )
- Mr Ababacar DIOP ( Human rights organisations)
- Mr Cheikh BAKHOUM ( Managing Director of ADIE)
- Mr Alioune BA (Employers)
In addition, a Government Commissioner, appointed by the Prime Minister, sits on the Commission.

Their term of office is four (4) years , renewable once.
How it works:
The Commission’ s plenary sessions
The eleven members of the Commission meet in plenary session once or twice a month , in plenary session once or twice a month.

The CDP ‘s financial resources
The CDP has an autonomous budget , the funds for which are allocated by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance.
